The American Family Business Institute recently released their voter guide for Hoosiers that confirmed that Marlin Stutzman is the only candidate for Indiana’s 3rd Congressional District willing to permanently repeal the destructive “Death Tax.” The AFBI guide entitled, “Death Tax Repeal matters for Indiana,” also sounded the alarm on the coming reinstatement of the death tax at a rate of 55%.
As a family farmer, Marlin understands firsthand just how harmful the death tax is on small businesses and family farms. It is why Marlin signed the AFBI pledge to fight to permanently repeal the tax that only serves to take what Hoosier families have worked so hard to build. The pending reinstatement of the death tax only demonstrates just how crucial it is to send fresh, fiscal conservative leaders like Marlin Stutzman to Washington to end this tax once and for all.
The AFBI guide shared alarming figures by former Congressional Budget Office Director, Douglass Holtz-Eakin, who stated, “reinstating the death tax will cost the country 1.4 million small-business jobs. On the other hand, Indiana alone stands to gain over 32,000 jobs if the Death Tax is repealed.”
