The Indiana Chamber of Commerce, the state’s leading small business organization, announced today its endorsement of Marlin Stutzman (R-Howe), for election to the U.S. House of Representatives, District 3.
“The citizens of northeast Indiana will be very-well served with Marlin Stutzman as their Third District congressman,” said Jeff Brantley, vice president of political affairs for the Indiana Chamber. “Marlin Stutzman will be a champion for the interests of his district and our state, including economic growth, limited government, and job creation.”
“Indiana employers are working mightily to pull out of this recession and create jobs,” explained Brantley. “Marlin Stutzman understands that raising taxes in a recession, runaway spending, and excess regulation will only kill job creation and slow our economic recovery.”
Marlin Stutzman is running for the open 3rd District seat in the U.S. House of Representatives. As a current member of the Indiana Senate, Marlin Stutzman holds an 81% aggregate voting score with the Indiana Chamber on economic and job creation issues.
“We can grow this economy and put people back to work, but not with higher taxes and bigger government,” said Marlin Stutzman. “I’m pleased to receive the endorsement of the Indiana Chamber Congressional Action Committee and business leaders in this state. I share their concerns about major job-killing policies demanded by this Congress, including Cap and Trade, health care reform, and increased taxes on small businesses.”
The Indiana Chamber has been the state’s leading small business advocacy organization for over 85 years, representing over 800,000 Hoosier workers through nearly 5,000 member companies from across the state in all 92 counties.
